Welcome to the NeuroCognition Laboratory

The NeuroCognition Lab is co-directed by Drs. Phillip Holcomb and Katherine Midgley. We study the brain basis of human cognition, most notably, the neuronal underpinnings of language comprehension and production. Our research primarily uses event-related potentials (ERPs) but also functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and magnetoencephalography (MEG), to track the time course of language processes in the brain. One can best understand our research program by reading about some of our on-going projects.

Be sure to check out the web pages of our sister laboratories, the LPC, in Marseille France, The Laboratory for Language and Cognitive Neuroscience at SDSU in San Diego CA and the KuperbergLab at Tufts/MGH in Boston, MA.

For students interested in our research see how you can be involved here and check out the MA program in Psychology at SDSU.
